The International Design and Architecture Awards
Nominated for London Living Space Award
Vote for NW3 Interiors – Regents Park Penthouse Project
Design et Al is a highly prestigious award covering multiple categories in the interiors sector. A stamp of credibility and luxury fused together, rewarding the most talented architects and designers around the world across the fields of residential interior architecture, interior design and product design. Out of the categories only 16 projects are shortlisted from a panel of judges, meaning only the most deserving projects remain to win the award. Design et Al host the annual award ceremony to announce the winners of each category. Where professionals and designers enjoy a glamorous evening at a luxury hotel in London.
The awards themselves are chosen by a highly qualified sample of the public, consisting mostly of professional designers and those with a keen interest. Last year an amazing 86,923 professionals participated in their in-depth voting system. Average voters spent 53 minutes closely engaging with and deciding on their favoured design, considering all the shortlisted candidates. This impressive board emerges from professionals sharing within their local communities, social media, existing clients and any other persons who would wish to support them. It is a highly regarded award and recognises a multitude of talents globally.
Being shortlisted for the Design et Al award felt like a huge accomplishment for us at NW3 Interiors. Having a project being recognised by such a prestigious institution was a hugely fulfilling achievement for the company and me personally. After working so hard on a project it’s great to be rewarded with not only a happy client and a beautiful space but a world-renowned award as well.
Our Regents Park Penthouse Project was a gorgeous apartment housed in a refurbished historic build looking over the grounds. We achieved a design that was timeless, utilising the whole room to create distinct areas to break up the space and create overall balance and flow. The grand design of the lounge and dining room proudly showcased a number of luxury brand collections, chosen specifically to work with the period styling of the home. We supplied a gorgeous Knoll Barcelona Day Bed in a naked leather to work with the soft tones in the lounge and brought out pink and green hues in a Rug Company rug to work with the chandeliers and add pops of colour as requested by the client. The grasshopper dining table designed recently by world renowned designer Piero Lissoni worked perfectly to fill the dining area and optimise seating space for hosting and complement the Lissoni shelving system behind. Creating symmetry was a key point for the design, to work within the frames of the period panelling around the room.
The most enjoyable part of the design process was the wide level of freedom we had to translate, as our client modestly put it, her “vague ideas into a stunning vision”. The ability to independently innovate was not only fun for us but gave us the ability to introduce our favourite furniture pieces throughout the home, using our hard work, knowledge and talents to create this stunning scheme. Working to a brief without interruption allowed us to create a cohesive and seamless home that worked with both the existing interiors and exteriors, helping the charm of the property seep inside space.
