Highgate Family Home

Highgate family home designed, decorated and furniture sourced exclusively by NW3 Interiors.

The Project

The Challenge

A couple with their 3 children live in this semi-detached home within a popular crescent situated in Highgate, N6 London. They purchased the Edwardian house which required complete refurbishment.  They added a floor at the top for an impressive master bedroom and a basement was excavated and is utilised for a cinema room and play space. The home has 5 bedrooms, 3 reception areas, an open plan kitchen and a large garden. Wishing to save time and optimise their living spaces, our client requested our design services and a furniture package.

The Solution

Embracing our elite brand partners for the furniture package was our first step. As our client was enthusiastic about design we were able to refine decisions swiftly. We would be sent pictures of furniture he liked and we would then source. Our client was unknowingly a huge fan of Piero Lissoni. A talented design professional who has created 21st-century iconic collections.

Configuring a sofa to the perfect size, to maximise the corner space and suggesting a tall hallway mirror to make the use of light upon entry.  Next, to recommend paint colours for the kitchen, lighting, rugs and bedroom furniture. The client part-ordered the bedroom furniture from retail brands directly whilst NW3 Interiors assisted with a bespoke bed in the master bedroom. Our client loves to be creative which allowed us to work together to curate lifestyle spaces that bring a lot of joy.

Together we visited furniture showrooms to hone in on style preferences. Furthermore, we established that the furniture specifications needed to be durable, yet beautiful with a mix of colours and materials. Team NW3 Interiors created a document plus a visual ‘walk-though’ digital representation which enabled the clients to see how the home would look. Therefore we took some time to decide the colours to ensure it was cohesive, providing samples regularly. Materials included leather, velvet and a rich red Rosso Rubino marble. The process took 2 months, with 5 meetings to finalise.

The Outcome

Together with our client, we brought this home to life. Injecting life and colour throughout the spaces. Focusing on the practical elements of family living at the same time. Furthermore, creating a cohesive scheme and helping our clients to realise their dream home. We loved working on this project and hope our clients enjoy their home as much as we enjoyed the journey.
