How a furniture package and a few design hours helped our client achieve her dream lounge in Cricklewood.
Soho House inspired lounge in Cricklewood
It’s interesting who you meet on the side of your son’s Saturday football match! Thanks Camden Elite Academy!
The client approached Carly in 2017 to potentially provide furniture for the open plan lounge and a separate sitting room. However after a short while Carly had rearranged their existing pieces by swapping over a few items which – for the moment – satisfied the client’s needs.
A year later the client reconnected and asked for a few further hours to ensure that a purchase of a new sofa, chair and coffee table was the perfect size in the slightly narrow lounge.
Carly created a floor plan layout and got to work with fabric samples and sofa ideas. The client visited our Hampstead showroom and loved the Piero Lissoni sofa made by Knoll. We deliberated over a few gorgeous tones of blue fabric which is soft to touch and cosy. This complimented the new wall colour of hague blue by Farrow and Ball along with the brass accessories and other textures.
The marble coffee tables and lounge chairs are deliberately individual pieces which, when separated, give the sense of space and flow. It also makes them easier to move around which is practical for this fun family of 5.
The over all aesthetic is similar to that of Soho House. Which works seamlessly with the rest of the home, which is full of wonderful patterns and wood types in a period home in north west London.
The client is super happy with their new comfortable, durable and cool furniture items. They are pleased a few hours from a designer ensured the size, colour blend and layouts are perfect. It was a pleasure to work with this client and provide the pieces which enhance their home.
