Specialising in beautiful luxury furniture has its perks. One of them, is the look on our clients faces when we see the finished space. The second is the photos, definitely the photos. When those crisp high res images glide from one to next we can’t help but feel proud. The challenge our clients face is usually, how to make luxury…liveable. By liveable we mean, practical. How do you make magazine worthy homes that not only look good but also work for the family.
NW3 Interiors not only specialise in luxury furniture, but we specialise in family living too. Combining the two, we offer our clients high-end looks with a bespoke design. Tailored around habits, wants, needs all the way to housing exactly 36 pairs of shoes. Whatever the request we bend over backwards to accommodate such requests without interfering with the quality of the aesthetic.
Our recent St Johns Wood Project was a stunning family home rented by a family with two young boys. There was a large living space that the family wanted to effectively split the room in half. Quite tricky when you don’t own the property and cant erect walls for fun! The front part of the space was to be utilised as a luxury lounge area, to entertain guests. The back part was a space for the boys to play table tennis. To begin, we created a divide utilising the new Red Baron bookcase from Knoll, designed by Piero Lissoni. This separated the two area in a luxurious and creative manor.
Shielding the living space from the games area behind. To ensure that the games area looked as luxe as possible we sourced a beautiful large walnut table from RS Barcelona. This table doubles up as a dining table also, as shown below. This was a great way to keep the luxury aesthetic running from the entrance all the way to the back of the home. The walnut was chosen to complement the tall Florence Knoll credenzas in the living space.
This gorgeous lounge was created in record time for our lovely client in Regents Park. Our client was a fan of design and came to our first meeting equipped with magazine articles and cutouts so we could get a sense of the style she was after. Right from the get go we knew it was a perfect match and our client must have felt it too. We were left with the concept and were given full lead on the design. Curating this entire scheme with little input from the client it was wonderful to receive her over-the-moon text when she opened her front door to her fully installed living and dining space.
Utilising our elite brand partners we curated this scheme of high quality, luxurious pieces to balance the living space. Designed in coordination with the existing period features of the space, we supplied the glorious Knoll Barcelona day bed, Florence Knoll sofa, Gubi Beetle dining chairs, a Rug Company rug, a grasshopper dining table and Red Baron bookcase, both designed by Piero Lissoni for Knoll. Alongside many other iconic pieces.
This project was an eclectic mix of period, midcentury and modern elements all under one roof. Our clients had a keen eye for design and unknowingly always sent us design works by Piero Lissoni. This mad it easy for us to hone in on specific pieces to supply them for this project. This lounge area was situated in the back open plan kitchen/dining space, optimised for family living. The down filled corner sofa was chosen to be comfy and cosy, supplied in a soft neutral colour to hide dirt and fingerprints. We supplied Knoll conference arm chairs in a fabric chosen out of a variety by our client to complement the red marble dining table but also meant it could be turned around to use as extra seating.
We also supplied the furniture for the other living space at the front of the home. Which was where bold colours and statement pieces were used to create a super cool luxurious space. The Florence Knoll sofa in green velvet acted as the central piece for the space. Complemented by the Knoll Pilot chairs in a naked tan leather to bring in warmth to the room. The credenza was chosen by our client and we specified the green marble top and coloured sections to coordinate with the space and tie the room together.
All of these stunning luxury lounges were created by us, for our clients and we’re looking forward to working on more luxury homes in 2020.
