Project Overview: 

In September 2021, NW3 Interiors embarked on a design journey in Sevenoaks, tasked with creating a truly exceptional bathroom as part of a luxury family home. The vision was clear: to blend elegance and functionality while crafting a space that felt unique, serene, and inspiring. This journey took us from initial inspiration and meticulous layout planning to selecting exquisite finishes and materials that would ultimately transform the bathroom into an award-winning masterpiece.

Each step in this process—from concept to completion—reveals the thoughtful design choices that can elevate a bathroom from functional to extraordinary.

Setting the Vision: Initial Inspiration

The design process began with gathering inspiration to define the atmosphere of the master en-suite bathroom. We created mood boards to explore various textures, colours, and materials that would bring both calmness and visual interest to the space, establishing a solid foundation for the design.

Structuring the Space: Floor Plan and Layout

The next step was optimising the layout of the bathroom, creating flow and functionality. This involved planning for ample storage, discreet toilet placement, and an open feel that would connect seamlessly to the adjacent master bedroom. The floor plan was essential in setting up a layout that balanced aesthetic appeal with practicality.

Refining the Concept: Master En-Suite Mood Board

We then developed a focused mood board specific to the master en-suite, drawing on elements like hand-painted silk wallpaper, warm wood tones, and large-format porcelain tiles. Each material was chosen to contribute to a timeless, luxurious aesthetic, setting a calm yet inviting tone.

Visualising the Design: Renders of the Bathroom

With the layout finalised, we produced detailed renders to help the client visualise the completed space. The renders showcased the room’s unique features, including custom lighting, textured wood panelling, and the centrepiece wallpaper, all working together to create a harmonious design.

The Final Result: Bringing the Bathroom to Life

The completed master en-suite transformed into an elegant retreat, combining warmth and sophistication. Every detail—from hidden storage and dimmable lighting to the lacquered wood and embroidered wallpaper—was meticulously crafted, making this bathroom truly unique and award-worthy.
