London Design Week 2017 – 12
th-17th March

The Science of Design – Unlocking the Secrets of Design’s DNA – is this year’s London Design Week 2017 focus. Designers, architects and interested parties alike will gather for an unmissable event at the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour, London, SW10 0XE. Spread over 6 days, featuring 120 exhibitors, 100 events, and some of the industry’s biggest names, London Design Week is shaping up to be everything we’d hoped it would be. In this blog, we look at what to expect from this year’s event and signpost a few things you can’t afford to miss!

Monday 13th March: 4-6pm – Home Office Couture – In Conversation with Fiona Ashford.

An opportunity to meet Fiona Ashford, BOX66’s architectural and creative director and explore her collaboration with Gallotti&Radice. She will also be discussing the inspiration behind the making of award winning Goodman’s Fields Penthouse, and this looks a great opportunity to pick up some tips on your home office design.

Tuesday 14th March: 12.30pm – Inspiring Spaces: City, Country, by the Water and on the Water.

An interesting title, but this event looks set to be brilliant. Sophia Salaman, of The World of Interiors, moderates a panel featuring Emma Burns of Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler, Guy Oliver of Oliver Laws and landscape artist Graham Lloyd-Brunt. Worth a visit!

Wednesday 15th March: 2.30pm – Discovery Tour

The discovery tours are not limited to this slot; in fact, they are every day at 2.30pm. Make sure to get a tour of the Design Centre – this guided tour will take you through many of the shows highlights. Expect new collections, installations, and lots of inside scoops, all with a glass of champagne.

Thursday 16th March: 11am – What Virtual Reality Means for Architecture and Interior Design

Virtual Reality is a hot topic in every industry right now. This interesting event looks at how this exciting technology is revolutionising architecture and interior design – and gives visitors an opportunity to experience the technology for themselves.

London Design Week promises to be full of exciting designs, technical expertise and industry leaders. We can’t wait and hope to see you there.
